This quality Syrah wine is named after Louis Meurant, the son of a Swiss-French musician and Riversdale’s most distinguished resident. In 1861 he wrote the very first prose work to be published in Afrikaans.

Tasting Notes
On the eye, the wine presents with a deep red vibrancy and the nose is boldly fruitful with blackcurrant and stewed plums as well as hints of nutmeg. On the palate, the tannins are soft and round, with delicate earthy flavours ending with some savoury notes.
